Eliminate the Blind Submission

Starting from $1 per card!

Starting from $1 per card!

Built for card collectors by card collectors.

Designed for all of us.

We're not just another AI Grading company. Anyone can make one of those.

We're collectors ourselves. We built this because we needed to solve our own problem - how do we stop wasting time and money waiting for our graded slabs to come back with grades lower than we expected? We needed confidence!

What is Mint Condition?

Mint Condition is a web and mobile app that takes the guesswork out of card grading. Use your camera or upload high-resolution images to get a clinical assessment of centering, corners, edges, and surface in under 15 seconds. Our custom-trained models identify defects before you spend a dollar on submission fees, allowing you to build a digital portfolio of your best raw assets. Once inspected, you can track your collection's grading potential in a centralized vault and share verifiable condition reports with other collectors or potential buyers to prove your card is exactly what you say it is.

How it works

We built Mint Condition to eliminate the "Blind Submission" trap. As traders ourselves, we’ve all felt the financial sting of a graded 7 return on a card that looked like a Gem Mint candidate under desk lamps. Our platform replaces subjective guesswork with a clinical Digital Inspection layer. By utilizing computer vision trained on the same scrutiny as a lead grader, we provide a high-probability condition assessment in under 30 seconds. No hype—just the data you need to submit with confidence.

Philip Greenberg, Founder.

A lifelong sports fan with a foot in two worlds, Philip manages to bridge the Midwest’s fiercest divides as both a die-hard Cubs fan and a Green Bay Packers stock owner. That same passion fuels his career as a serial entrepreneur. As the founder and CEO of Vintage Card Co, Philip has built one of the largest vintage sports card operations on eBay and is a mainstay on the national card show circuit.

With a 150,000+ card personal collection and a deep mastery of trading card economics, Philip founded Mint Condition out of necessity. He needed a way to intelligently scale the grading process for his own inventory, leading him to build the very tool he—and the industry—ha been waiting for.

Steve Heiss, Founder.

Born near Chicago—arguably the best sports city in the world (his words)—Steve has been going to baseball games with Philip since they were just kids (photo proof below). When he wasn't at the ballpark, he was a classic 90s kid consumed by trading Pokémon cards and playing on his N64 and Gameboy.

Over a 14-year career across global consulting and Big Tech, Steve transitioned from gaming to complex data analytics, specializing in large-scale AI program management and operational strategy. He now serves as the technical architect behind Mint Condition, applying his hands-on experience evaluating and deploying advanced language models to build a highly accurate, automated grading pipeline.

How does AI Grading work?

We use a combination of computer vision and AI models trained on over 10,000 professionally slabbed cards and 50,000 raw cards to analyze your raw assets. The process involves mathematically realigning the image to check centering and utilizing a fine-tuned model to detect physical defects like surface dimples and edge wear.
